What is your return/exchange policy?
At this time we do not accept returns or exchanges. Due to possibility of items being worn and returned, we are unable to re-sell these items. We may consider exchanges on a case by case basis.
I received my items but I want a different color now, can I get a new one?
We do not offer replacements, we do our best to take well lit photos of our merchandise, and name the colors according to standard naming of colors. We understand different screens and lighting can affect the perceived color of the item, however we will not be able to replace the items free of charge.
What if an item arrives defective or broken?
Please send a photo to firstname.lastname@example.org of the package, item, and explain what is wrong with the item upon arrival. These rare instances will be dealt with on a case by case basis. We have great luck with our packages, but occasionally, things happen and items can be damaged during the shipping process.
Repairs on Purchases:
Within 6 months of purchase, we will be happy to make repairs to a damaged product if the repair is a result of an error on our part. After 6 months, the customer is responsible for the cost of repairs. The customer is also responsible for the cost of the repair and shipping of any repair that is not caused by Jill's Homestead.
Leather and Cowhide Care
We handcraft every bag with authentic and real high quality leather.
We are not responsible for item wear that is a result of customer use. This includes, but is not limited to; constant rubbing, heavy packing, misuse or harsh environmental conditions. Proper care for leather items such as conditioning and proper cleaning will ensure the longevity of your item(s).
My dog ate my earring.. can I have a new one?
This happens, a lot. Dogs love to chew on leather! Unfortunately, we cannot replace items damaged after arriving safely to your home.
One of my earrings flew off and I lost it. Can I just get one earring?
We do not replace half sets of earrings or single earrings. This is primarily because we work in genuine leather, and each hide is different, so likely, if we did replace, the hue of the leather may be slightly different and not match your existing earring. We recommend keeping the earring backs that come on your earrings and putting them on any time you wear your earrings to help prevent earrings from flying off in the wind or getting easily pulled out on a scarf or hood.
Can you design a logo patch for me?
Yes, absolutely! Please click on the custom hat order page and fill out the form. If you have an existing logo or design you'd like us to use, please provide the design in a transparent version, preferably svg, eps, ai, pdf, or a clear png image. Screen shots do not work well, the design will not be clear when converting in our design program. Any image designed by our team for you will incur a small design fee of $7. This includes designing within our software and any test engraving.
My design for my logo hat has color in it, can I have color on a custom patch?
We are only able to do silhouettes on our laser engraving machine. ALL designs are converted to black and white. If your design has color, that's okay! Just know that it will be converted to a black silhouette on the leather patch. We will send a proof to be approved by you before proceeding with laser engrave and cut.
Are your earring hooks nickel free?
Yes, our earring hooks are hypoallergenic and nickel-free.
What are your shipping rates?
Shipping rates vary from $7-$15 depending on size and total order of products. Wholesale orders will calculate shipping based on order size.
Where are you located?
We are in rural Iowa, however - we do not have a storefront. We do not offer pick up or meet for orders. All orders will be shipped to you.
Where can I shop in person?
If you would like some names of stores that feature our products, please send an email to email@example.com or message us on Facebook and we can point you in the direction of a store closest to you. We are working on expanding more out of Iowa, but primarily are in Iowa stores as of right now. You can also find us occasionally at market shows, please check out the events page on our Facebook page for the most up to date information regarding shows.
