Standard Petal - Aquamarine
Our Standard Petals are 2.25 inches in length. At just a bit larger than our small petals, these are lightweight, and great for adding the final touch to any outfit day or night.
We offer these in different sizes as well. If this isn't the right size for you go smaller or larger with our small or XL petals.
Hardware and posts are hypoallergenic and nickel free, we offer an option of bronze or silver.

Shipping & Returns
As of 3/29/21, we will only accept website purchases for returns (excluding all custom orders, straps and nest boxes) for store credit only, no refunds.
To be eligible for a return, you must contact us within 2 calendar days of receiving your order and the item must be shipped back within 7 calendar days. Your return must be approved prior to sending back your order.
Customer is responsible for all shipping costs. Original shipping costs are non-refundable.
To start a return, please send an email to firstname.lastname@example.org. Please include your order # and reason for the return.
The item must be returned unused and in all its original packaging. If the original box is not able to be used, a box of similar size must be used.
Auction items, Earrings, Hats, Nest Boxes, Straps and all Custom Orders, to include Feather Tassels, are not eligible for an exchange or return. Shirts and sweatshirts are exchange only - if the requested size is no longer available store credit will be issued.
All returns and exchanges will be subject to a 4% restocking fee - fee is subject to change at any time. Orders sent back without approval via email may be turned away or incur a 10% restocking fee.

What if an item arrives defective or broken?
Please send a photo to email@example.com of the package, item, and explain what is wrong with the item upon arrival. These rare instances will be dealt with on a case by case basis. We have great luck with our packages, but occasionally, things happen and items can be damaged during the shipping process.
Repairs on Purchases:
Within 6 months of purchase, we will be happy to make repairs to a damaged product if the repair is a result of an error on our part. After 6 months, the customer is responsible for the cost of repairs. The customer is also responsible for the cost of the repair and shipping of any repair that is not caused by Jill's Homestead.
Leather and Cowhide Care
We handcraft every bag with authentic and real high quality leather.
We are not responsible for item wear that is a result of customer use. This includes, but is not limited to; constant rubbing, heavy packing, misuse or harsh environmental conditions. Proper care for leather items such as conditioning and proper cleaning will ensure the longevity of your item(s).
One of my earrings flew off and I lost it. Can I just get one earring?
We do not replace half sets of earrings or single earrings. This is primarily because we work in genuine leather, and each hide is different, so likely, if we did replace, the hue of the leather may be slightly different and not match your existing earring. We recommend keeping the earring backs that come on your earrings and putting them on any time you wear your earrings to help prevent earrings from flying off in the wind or getting easily pulled out on a scarf or hood.
Are your earring hooks nickel free?
Yes, our earring hooks are hypoallergenic and nickel-free.
What are your shipping rates?
Shipping rates vary from $7-$15 depending on size and total order of products. Wholesale orders will calculate shipping based on order size.
How long does it take to receive my order?
Each listing will have an estimated turn around time. Most smooth leather bags are made to order and our current lead time is 2-4 business days. Orders ship Priority Mail through the USPS.
Where are you located?
We are in rural Iowa, however - we do not have a storefront. We do not offer pick up or meet for orders. All orders will be shipped to you.

We recommend applying a leather conditioner when it feels like the leather needs it. Your leather will start to feel a bit stiffer than usual, or notice it feels dry. If you use your bag daily, this may happen every few months, or could be more or less often depending on your use and environment. Our favorite conditioner is Chamberlain's brand leather conditioner and healing balm. Use a soft t-shirt type rag to rub a small amount of conditioner throughout. A little goes a long way.
Spill and Waterproof
You might want to apply a waterproofing spray or conditioner for some extra protection if your bag may be exposed to rain, kiddos, water bottles, etc. We recommend Chamberlains water proofer. Use t-shirt style or lint free cloth to rub throughout, a little is all you need.
Clean as Needed
Did your item get a bit dirty? Stay away from harsh chemicals or wipes. Gently wipe off any excess spill with a dry cloth. Then, clean it up with leather specific cleaner - we like Chamberlain's leather cleaner, or Saddle Soap from Fieblings. Remember to be gentle, no scrub brushes, just a soft cloth.
For Cowhide - simply use a baby wipe to clean off lint or general debris, damp cloth for deeper dirt, and brush/blow dry until the hide returns to it's soft state.
Handle your leather with care and it will be there for you, for years to come.
